Our story
Our passion at Kayu Mama Resort & Spa is to make you feel at home and part of our family. In Indonesia, the word ‘kayu’ means wood and our connection to the surrounding nature of the Bukit forest in Uluwatu Bali is the beating heart of Kayu Mama. Opened in January 2023, we take pride in respecting the warm, local Balinese culture and our diverse, creative, and talented team who breathe life and smiles into the soul of Kayu Mama.
Animal love
At Kayu Mama, our love for nature extends beyond the tropical plant life (and friendly geckos). Our resort is home to Mate - our loving Rottweiler - he can often be found joining guests for a swim in our pool to cool down on warm tropical days. You are welcome to bring your dog to the restaurant (if they are well-behaved and play well with others;).
